Inspired by Walt Kelly’s font in Pogo. It’s very dynamic and ideal for authorial and commercial comics. Special Comics simulates handwritten characters and it is made with a marker with a chisel tip to give more emphasis to variations in thickness. The harmony between the more defined and linear signs of the traits and the softness of the round traits are an important feature of the design of the letters. Font designed with care by Marco Ficarra for Studio RAM.
